Life, Love, the Pursuit of Heart’s High

Current mood: happy
Category: Life

Yeah, I'm in a glorious mood today:)

Sunny out and love is making me happy and on high.

Band stuff is rocking. Damn, practice sounded gr8 last night. I got me a *real* amp, and have now joined the Boys' Club. It seems as if they can actually hear what I'm doing now. Ha hah!

A real progression, I'd say.

Anyway, we jaunt to NYC this weekend for a show, and Tony plays with his other woman (World's Greatest Sinners) there on Saturday, too.

Family news:
Had an OK Thanksgiving with my Dad. We were there for each other, and that's the most important part. We went shopping, had coffees, and worked out together.

He's interviewed to join the Peace Corps. He's retiring this December, at the age of 65, after teaching for 26 years in the ghetto in Houston. The man is a veteran.

I bought some new exercise equipment while in Houston - a simple resistance cord, but it's gr8 for travel. My home gym has come a long way. I now have:

2lb. medicine ball
stability ball
3, 5, and 8lb. weights
ankle weights
mat
resistance cord

Got some new sneaks, too. Reeboks. Nothing too fancy, but fit for the job.

More band stuff:
People can now hear some of the new album online. 3 of the 10 songs are posted at http://sonicbids.com/blackfortressofopium.

And we were in the Boston Globe last week, in the Sidekick.
